3D participatory mapping and sustainable development in the Philippines

 

Together with Rodolph Schlaepfer we are using participatory methods to understand land use by the Agta hunter-gatherer communities in the Philippines. This will help us to support the Agta community in land demarcation, reducing local conflicts with development and conservation initiatives. Participatory mapping allows for the whole Agta community to have their saying on land use and priority areas for hunting, gathering and conservation.
